How the night runs

From the check-in desk to the final gavel

A live auction has three moments that make or break the night. Ticket Falcon runs all three from one place.

1 Before the room fills

Register & card on file

Guests register online or at the desk, get a paddle number, and save a card, so nobody stands in line to settle up later.

  • Online pre-registration and on-site check-in
  • Auto or manual paddle numbers
  • Tap-to-pay card capture at the desk
2 As each lot sells

Record the winner

When a lot sells, your team enters the winning paddle number and the amount. Paddle-raise pledges are captured the same way, by paddle number.

  • Enter the winning paddle and amount
  • Paddle-raise appeals by paddle number
  • Live raised-tonight totals on the console
3 After the gavel drops

Charge everyone at once

Close the auction and charge every winner to the card on file in a single pass. Receipts go out automatically.

  • One-tap winner charging
  • Itemized invoices with your service fee
  • Branded PDF receipts by email
Everything included

Built for the way galas actually run

Not a bolt-on. A full live-auction toolkit that lives on the same platform, and the same login, as your ticketing.

Run the room

Command the auction from one screen

Your team drives the whole night from a single dashboard. Register bidders, record the winning paddle when a lot sells, and watch tonight's total climb in real time.

Paddle numbers

Assign a paddle number to every bidder automatically or by hand as they arrive at the desk.

Record the winner

When a lot sells, enter the winning paddle number and the amount. No bid-by-bid data entry all night.

Live running totals

Raised tonight, pledges, and collected update live on the console as you record each sale.

Instant bidder lookup

Find any guest by name, email, or paddle number in a second, right from the check-in desk.

Forgot-paddle reminders

A guest who lost their paddle number gets it re-sent by email in one click, no line, no delay.

Team access

Add volunteers and staff with their own logins so more hands can run the desk and the floor.

For your guests

A frictionless night for every bidder

Guests register once, keep a card on file, and never touch a clipboard. When they win, they already know how they will pay.

Fast bidder registration

Guests sign up online before the event or at the desk in under a minute.

Card on file

Securely save a card up front so winners are charged automatically, with no checkout line at the end.

Tap-to-pay at the desk

Take card details in person with a Stripe Terminal reader for guests who register on site.

No-login magic links

A private link takes each bidder straight to their paddle, invoice, and receipt. No password to remember.

Register once, bid anywhere

A card verified for your silent auction works for the live auction too. One registration covers the night.

Secure by default

Card details are handled by Stripe and never stored on our servers.

Paddle-raise appeals

Turn a raised paddle into a pledge

Call an appeal from the stage and let the room give. Guests raise their assigned paddle, your team records the number, and each pledge becomes an invoice, paid by the bidder or charged to the card on file.

Call an appeal

Open an appeal for any cause or moment and invite the whole room to give.

Give by paddle number

Guests raise their assigned paddle, and your team records each paddle number against the appeal.

Any giving level

Capture pledges at every level, from a lead gift down to every hand in the room.

Invoice each pledge

Every recorded pledge becomes a clean invoice the bidder can pay in a couple of taps.

Or auto-charge

Prefer to skip the wait? Charge each pledge to the bidder's card on file automatically.

Settled with the auction

Appeal pledges settle alongside winning bids, on the same invoices and receipts.

Settle up

Close the night, then close the books

When the gavel drops, the hard part is already done. Charge every winner to the card on file in one pass and send receipts before guests reach the coat check.

One-tap winner charging

Charge every auction winner to the card on file in a single pass, no chasing payments.

Itemized invoices

Each winner gets a clean, itemized invoice built from their wins, with your service fee applied.

Automatic receipts

Send a branded PDF receipt to every winner by email the moment their card is charged.

Set your service fee

Choose the service fee for each event so your numbers work for your cause, not against it.

No-login invoice access

Winners open their invoice and receipt from a private link, with nothing to log into.

Paid as you sell

Winning bids deposit to your own Stripe account with Direct Payouts, not weeks after the event.

Why organizers switch

Less stress on the night. More money in the door.

Just the winner

Enter the winning paddle and amount when a lot sells. No recording every bid along the way.

Cards on file

No checkout line at the end. Winners are charged to the card they saved at registration.

Paddle-raise appeals

Record pledges by paddle number, then invoice each gift or charge the card on file.

Paid as you sell

Winning bids land in your own Stripe account with Direct Payouts, not weeks later.

Questions

Live auctions, answered

How do I get Live Auctions turned on?
Live Auctions are enabled by request. Tell us about your event using any "Request Live Auctions" button on this page and our team will switch it on for your account and help you get set up before your gala.
Do we have to record every bid?
No. A live auction is auctioneer-led, so you only record the winner. When a lot sells, a staffer enters the winning paddle number and the amount, and Ticket Falcon turns it into an invoice for that bidder. There is no bid-by-bid data entry.
How do guests pay when they win?
Every bidder registers and saves a card on file up front, in advance online or at the check-in desk with a tap-to-pay reader. When the auction closes, you charge all winners to their saved cards in one pass, and receipts go out automatically.
Can we run a paddle raise or appeal?
Yes. Call an appeal from the stage and your team records each raised paddle number against it. Every pledge becomes an invoice the bidder pays, or you charge the card on file automatically, and it settles right alongside their winning bids.
Can I take card details in person at check-in?
Yes. Capture a card at the desk with a Stripe Terminal tap-to-pay reader for guests who register on site, so every bidder has a card on file before the bidding starts.
Can we put the paddle raise on the big screen?
Yes. A big-screen display puts the appeal's running total and the most recent pledges on the room's screen, updating live as you record them, so the whole room can rally around the goal.
Do guests have to register twice for the silent and live auction?
No. A bidder who registered and verified a card for your silent auction is recognized in the live auction automatically. They register once and can bid across both.
When do we get our money?
The same way as every Ticket Falcon sale. Winning bids are paid out to your own Stripe account with Direct Payouts on a rolling basis, not held until after the event.
