You are invited to attend the NEW! Payroll Protection Program Workshop for small businesses impacted by COVID-19. This important seminar will discuss how small businesses can obtain funds that have been recently allocated, in 2021, by Congress. several panelists will offer insight. Some topics to be covered: eligibility for PPP, what small businesses qualify for PPP, what type of lending should be chosen, what banks will work with small businesses and more. Additional topics will be mentioned: State of Illinois Business Interruption Grants (BIG), how to prepare a template for other grant opportunities and other programs or funding opportunities that may be on the horizon. The panelist consists of Phyllis Shelton, Economic Development Specialist of the U.S. Small Business Administration. Vachon Harper-Young, head of BMO for Black and Latinx For Business at BMO Harris Bank. Lastly, Matthew J. Simpson, African American Business Development Manager at the Office of Minority Economic Empowerment. This event is organized by Pamela McCarroll of New York Life Insurance and sponsored by the Woodlawn Chamber of Commerce and Washington Park Chambers of Commerce.
