Organized in 1983, the Houston Chapter currently has more than 550 financial members at all levels of business management, from a wide array of disciplines including Finance, IT, Marketing, Law, and Engineering.
The Chapter maintains relationships with many of Houston’s community-based organizations and Fortune 1000 companies. We are committed to contributing to our members by continuing to provide opportunities that derive mutual benefits.
The Chapter’s primary goals are to successfully operate our major programs and annual events during the year: 1) the Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT) High School Mentoring Program, 2) the Leadership Empowerment Scholarship Banquet and Silent Auction, 3) the Houston Black Leadership Forum, 4) our monthly General Body Meetings (GBM), and 5) our University Outreach programming for undergraduate and graduate business students. Additionally, many of our members participate in the Annual National Conference and Exposition.
The National Black MBA Association has recognized the Houston Chapter nine times as a Chapter of the Year honoree
