About the Event

Please join the African American Arts Alliance for Town Hall 21 on July 7 2021, 6:30 PM.  We have planned a dynamic discussion with the African American arts community about the resources and partnerships needed for organizational and artistic sustainability.

Few would argue that the last year has not been kind to the arts. We were the first to close and the last to reopen from the pandemic. There isn’t much arts organizations could do to stop a global pandemic, but as group with creativity in their DNA, we need to share ideas about how to sustain our institutions and what is working.

The goal of the Town Hall is to discuss the resources needed and what partnerships can be developed to help sustain our organizations. The Alliance has invited four exemplary artist and arts leaders to share their organizational and artistic successes.  We will discuss the human and capital resources needed and the supportive partnerships to be developed for a sustained success.
