This year’s camp is fully in-person!

Our mission is to empower young people to affect change in their community through design. By connecting young people to real world architects and planners, we foster the next generation of design professionals, civic leaders, and change makers.  We advocate for fellowship, equity, and excellence in design.

Organizer

I-NOMA (The Illinois Chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects)

The Illinois Chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects creates a platform of inclusion and growth to support all minority designers; as defined by ethnicity, gender, religion and sexual orientation. Our programming stems from two initiatives: Project Pipeline & Professional Development. Project Pipeline: Our Project Pipeline programming is developed to empower under-served and under-represented young people to affect change in their communities through design.

After the initial introduction, the Pipeline continues to support and mentor students and young professionals as they matriculate through the rigors of becoming a licensed architect.

Professional Development: With a focus on mentorship, continuing education, and developing minority leaders within our industry, programming under this initiative includes construction site tours, networking events, and continuing education seminars.
