Beginners Orienteering Workshop

Everyone gets lost at some point.  When it’s in a parking lot looking for your car, or just “turned around” in a shopping mall, it’s just a minor inconvenience.   But loosing your way in the wilderness, could have dire consequences.   In this 4 hour workshop, we will cover: how to read a map, how to navigate by feature, how to read a compass,  how to take a bearing, and the 5 key skills of land navigation.  

The workshop begins with classroom instruction,  followed by a guided walk-through of an orienteering course, where each participant will get one-on-one coaching as they navigate to checkpoints.
