2nd Annual Juneteenth Celebration: Celebrating Freedom & Entrepreneurship

Join us for a vibrant, soul-filled celebration of freedom, resilience, and Black excellence at the 2nd Annual Juneteenth Celebration: Celebrating Freedom & Entrepreneurship hosted by the Chicago Urban League Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation. This year’s event will bring together the community in a spirited atmosphere of music, wellness, food, and entrepreneurship.

Event Highlights:

• Juneteenth Opening Ceremony: Kick off the event with a 15-minute performance by Windy Indie, followed by the raising of the Juneteenth flag.

• Panel Discussion: “What is Juneteenth?” featuring leaders from National Black Wall Street and United Black American Progress Association.

• Children’s Play Area: A fun-filled space with a gaming truck, face painting, coloring books, large bubbles, and more!

• Health & Wellness: Free health screenings, STD/STI testing, COVID-19, RSV, and flu vaccines, and more from Get Covered Illinois and Near North Health Care Van.

• Entertainment: Enjoy live performances, African dancers & drummers, DJ Double M, stepping (Chicago-style line dancing), a cigar lounge for networking, and a Ms. Black Juneteenth Presentation.

• Live Performances: Musical performances by Zion and Kaylin as well as Double Dutch games for all ages.

• Food & Retail Marketplace: Featuring food trucks like Taylor Tacos, Funnel Cake Man, Vegan Truck, and Shawn Michelle’s Ice Cream, plus 30+ local vendors showcasing artisan goods, wellness, fashion, and more.

• Business Resources: Connect with organizations like SquareUp, Verizon, Google, and the Chicago Urban League to access tools and resources to help grow your business.
