Since 1978, Habilitative Systems, Inc. (HSI) has been at the forefront of providing critical behavioral health and human services to individuals and families in 17 underserved communities throughout the Chicago metropolitan area. We address pressing societal needs, offering support to those affected by mental illness, disabilities, substance use disorders, violence, and trauma. Our commitment extends to affordable housing initiatives for seniors and people with disabilities, making a significant impact on Chicago’s Westside and Southside.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, HSI partnered with the City of Chicago and the Illinois Department of Health to lead vital vaccination and testing initiatives. In 2020, HSI spearheaded the Counting on Chicago Coalition, ensuring an accurate census count and connecting over 45,000 individuals to critical services.
We continue to address health inequities through our partnerships, including the Wellness West and Collaborative Bridges Healthcare Transformation Collaboratives (HTCs), which focuses on rising behavioral health needs, suicide prevention, and chronic medical issues.
