About the Event

On Saturday, November 4, 2023, the Chicago Urban League will host its 62nd Annual Golden Fellowship Dinner (GFD).

Our signature gala raises funds that are critically needed to support our service to thousands of Chicagoland residents each year and to continue to advance our mission of achieving equity for Black families and communities through social and economic empowerment. Each year, GFD brings together more than 1,500 of Chicago’s business, civic, and community leaders to both celebrate our progress and support the work ahead.

This year’s gala theme, Accelerating Equity: All Hands On Deck, underscores the urgency of our mission and is a call to action for others to join us in making a better Chicago for everyone. On this special night hosted by Jeanne Sparrow and Samantha Chatman, we will recognize the outstanding work and contributions of National Urban League President Marc Morial, Chicago business leaders and philanthropists Don and Liz Thompson, and advocate for the friends Aleta Clark.

Performance by the legendary Isley Brothers.

They will be singing their decades of hits that cross multiple genres of music – R&B, soul, funk, disco, and rock & roll.

PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION

Rideshare is highly-suggested, as gala attendees should not rely on hotel valet parking. Illinois Street) to the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk throughout the night. To receive the discounted rate of $30 for up to 10 hours of parking at River East Parking Garage, guests must obtain a validation sticker during registration.

I understand and consent that as a part of my registration and attendance at the event, personal data will be collected by Chicago Urban League for the purposes of tracking attendance, event updates, and future marketing activations.
