About the Event
The Emerging Leaders Awards and Scholarship Gala is a scholarship initiative that provides scholarships to high school seniors, develops career pipelines for their future aspirations, and matches students with suitable mentors who share similar interests and backgrounds. Each year, this gala event spotlights and rewards young scholars enrolled in the Atlanta Public Schools system or local Atlanta-based colleges who are in need of funds to subsidize tuition, book and other educational expenses.
This year’s 12th edition of the event will be hosted on Saturday, May 17th, 2025 at the Delta Flight Museum. Beginning at 6PM with a cocktail reception, the event will consist of a seated program and dinner followed by an afterparty (with open-bar) on-site.
6-7PM: Registration & Cocktail Reception
7-9PM: Seated Program and 3-Course Meal
9PM-12AM: Afterparty with Open-Bar

Throughout the evening, $100,000 will be awarded in scholarships to several students representing the Atlanta Public Schools System and local collegiate institutions the Emerging 100 of Atlanta serves courtesy of the 100 Black Men of America’s collegiate auxiliary, the Collegiate 100.
Approximately 400 individuals will be in attendance, consisting of community and corporate leaders, APS representatives, elected officials and dignitaries, the Emerging’s corporate partners, and members of the Emerging 100 of Atlanta and 100 Black Men of Atlanta.
For the past 11 years, the Emerging 100 of Atlanta has provided college scholarships to students who have overcome adversity on their journey toward excelling in academics and leading in the community. Since 2014, we have awarded approximately $530,000 in scholarships to 58 students who have attended local high schools within the Atlanta Public School System and colleges within the metro-Atlanta region thanks to the resounding support from our community. This year, we look forward to having you join us for this culminating display of our organization’s mission as we change the lives of more students through scholarship and service!

We are high-achieving young men, aged 25-35, committed to the academic and vocational success of our youth at B.E.S.T. Academy High School and the Collegiate 100, while serving the Atlanta community as a whole.
Our members represent an array of professions and are leaders in their respective fields. The Emerging 100 members include attorneys, educators, technology experts, brand and marketing mavens, clergymen, educators and nonprofit leaders, finance gurus, and more.
