The Chicago (IL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated proudly presents the 2026 Mental Health & Wellness Symposium and Black Family Wellness Expo, featuring inspiring discussions and engaging activities centered around mental health and well-being.
This year’s theme, “Elevating Black Women & Girls Through Family, Culture & Community,” aims to uplift Black women and girls while highlighting the essential connection between empowerment and mental wellness.
In observance of the National Day of Impact for The Links, Incorporated, we will enhance the Symposium with a Community Resource Fair as part of the Black Family Wellness Expo. This fair, aligned with the 2026 National Day of Impact theme, “Serve with Intention in the Community,” will provide access to community support groups, empowering attendees to take charge of their mental health.
Participants can look forward to:
A variety of workshops, panels, and activities tailored for women’s and girls’ mental health and wellness.
Interactive sessions, including a dedicated segment for men and boys to engage in impactful discussions about mental health.
Vital resources covering topics such as mental health awareness, parenting neurodiverse children, maternal health, cancer awareness, suicide prevention, financial literacy, and voter registration.
We are honored to welcome Eden Bridgeman Sklener, owner and CEO of EBONY Media Group and JET Media Group, as our keynote speaker. She will be interviewed by Samantha Chatman, ABC 7 Chicago news anchor and member of the Chicago (IL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated. They will engage in a dialogue about Eden’s vision for empowering Black women and girls through the lens of family, culture, and community.
