Acorn Center for Restoration and Freedom is a refuge for seeding, growing, and applying HEARTS justice practices, rooted in Black Diasporic wisdom, for the sake of manifesting our collective freedom. An amalgamation of healing, arts, and spiritual justice work, HEARTS Justice centers practitioners who are weaving these systems of wellness together and creates opportunities for them to deepen practice, connect, renew, and share their work. Acorn is physically housed on 8 acres in occupied Northern Creek Territory and within the belt of former plantations in Georgia.
The land roots practice to lineage and ancestors, allows pollination across disciplines and movements, and is becoming a creative strategy center to reinforce the relationship between HEARTS justice work and movements. We provide live and virtual offerings, and retreats to those seeking new ways to uproot oppression and embody freedom. Our work is rooted in the values of restoration, relational economy, innovation and land stewardship and we seek to build liberatory relationships with BIPOC, Queer and Trans* communities throughout the South and beyond.
