I’m thankful to share that my federal student loans were forgiven this summer! Over $97,000 was forgiven by completing the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program.
To celebrate this milestone, I’m hosting a brunch with delicious catered food, mocktails, and refreshments, music, financial resources from vendors, giveaways, and more! On Saturday, September 21, 2024, join me in Chicago’s Bronzeville neighborhood for this celebratory event to fellowship, network, and gain tools to help you meet your financial goals of debt freedom and wealth building.
To ensure we are meeting our audience’s needs, please respond to the survey with your ticket purchase. I appreciate your support!

So far, this project of sharing my financial wellness journey has been a vulnerable yet rewarding one. The road to student loan debt freedom started 10 years ago when I learned about the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program, a federal program which is serviced by MOHELA.
I have reached my 120th payment on my student loans this year, qualifying me for my public student loan debt balance ($97,000+) to be forgiven. People often want to reach this goal, but it may not be as attainable for some. The feeling of so much debt getting taken off your shoulders is a blessing for many and a game-changer for most.
Student loans often hinder homeownership, traveling, getting married, and even starting families. For me, this is part of a life goal to become debt-free, so celebrating this milestone on that path to debt freedom would be the best way to close this chapter. Hope to see you there!
