About the Event

Join the #wehiketoo movement from anywhere in the world with us again this week! We are extending our Virtual Hike Series “ Taking Our Health Back” every Sunday from now until April 26th.

Exercise, hiking and getting out in nature are imperative to maintaining our mental and physical health throughout this time of social distancing. Questioning whether hiking is right for you? Here are a few benefits to consider!

Mental health benefits of hiking:

  • Decrease in stress, anxiety and depression
  • Increase in overall mood, creativity and self esteem
  • Hiking utilizes multiple senses and is naturally therapeutic

Physical health benefits of hiking:

  • Decrease in blood pressure, cholesterol and body fat
  • Strengthens and tones your lower body and core
  • Increases your bodies natural killer cells which help to fight off bacteria and naturally boost your immune system.
