About the Event

Each year, the Season of Hope Gala celebrates the transformation and hope we see happening daily at Mel Trotter Ministries. This year’s Gala will highlight and benefit the Prevention and Diversion efforts of Mel Trotter Ministries. Our Prevention and Diversion staff partner with area schools and organizations to identify and help students and families who are showing signs of being at risk of potential homelessness and resultant trauma. Over the past 2 years, over 160 families were diverted from ever experiencing homelessness at an average cost of $250.

This year’s keynote speaker, Paula Jauch, is a trauma survivor, international speaker, 2x award-winning author and podcaster. Her messages are rooted in her upbringing – growing up on the streets of Las Vegas surrounded by addiction, abuse, gang violence, and family dysfunction. After accepting Jesus as her Savior, she spent many uears trying to get free from self-destructive behaviors and addiction. Through Paula’s story, she is teaching individuals what it takes to walk through the pain of their past, heal from trauma, and how to experience recovery from addictions.
