About the Event

We Back Outside for a Nature HikešŸŒ³!

We are ecstatic about our nature hike and even more ecstatic to share this day with our community. We hope you find time this weekend, Sunday June 9th to join us for a walk around Lone Elk Park!

What to expect:

  • 9:00 AM ā€“Meet-up in the parking lot (More details after registration).
  • 9:15 AM ā€“Ā Welcome & Intros / Stretches
  • 9:30 AM ā€“ Hike White Bison Loop
  • 11:30AM ā€“ Completion.

Additional Information:

  1. Registration:Ā All attendees are required to register. Everything included with this hike is complimentary, butĀ donations are encouraged.
  2. What to wear/pack: water, breathable athletic clothes (we suggest you can consider layering lighter garments with warmer items to keep you cool but still comfortable), bring extra clothes to keep in your vehicle (due to rain and mud), and hiking shoes you don’t mind getting a bit dirty. Be sure to pack sunscreen, a towel/rag, and bug spray. Additionally, pack your favorite plant-based snack: fresh fruit, nuts, granola bars etc.
  3. Location: Lone Elk Park, White Bison Loop. Please look the location up the night before and give yourself plenty of travel time.
  4. Time:Ā Meetup at 9:00 AM sharp.
  5. Weather: It is likely to rain this Sunday.Ā High 71Ā°F, Low 69Ā°F with a 58% chance of rain.
  6. Level of Expertise:Ā Moderate. This is a moderately strenuous 3.1 mile hike with 318ft elevation gain.

  9. Food: BPWH will provide a light complimentary snacks to all attendees. However, you should pack extra for your comfort and needs.Ā Please make sure to pack healthy snacks for the hike such as granola, beef jerky, dried fruit, as well as extra water. Snacks and water are a critical part of the hikerā€™s diet. We will be burning calories along the way so snacks are a great way to keep your engine running.Ā Ā 
  10. Additional Information: This trail is likely to have Elk on and/or around it. No pets of any kind are allowed, and distance must be maintained away from them per park rules.
