About the Event

Being Fully Present: Intro to Mindfulness and Meditation w/ @TheCollectiveStl is week five in our “Taking Our Health Back” Virtual Health and Wellness Series. This series was created to focus on education and empowerment of health and wellness within the black community. Throughout this six week series we are offering free events  that will engage, elevate and empower you to join us in this movement in taking back our health! 

All of the six events are focused on natural ways to take back our health through healing of the mind, body and soul. 

Being Fully Present: Intro to Mindfulness and Meditation on June 3rd at 6pm cst is in collaboration with @TheCollectiveStl  will cover the following:

  • What is Mindfulness?
  • Mindfulness vs Mediation
  • Benefits of Mindfulness
  • How to get started?
  • How to incorporate it in our daily lives
  • Live Q&A
  • 30 minute guided mindfulness mediation

This virtual event is free, must all attendees must register! Registrants will receive a live playback of the session if you missed it and a free Mindfulness guide provided by email upon conclusion of the class.

Upon registration you will receive further instruction on how to join the live class and what to expect! 

This event is purely donation based. Any monetary amount donated goes to helping the organization push forward the #takingourhealthback and  #wehiketoo movements.  Donations can be made $Cashapp to $blackpeoplewhohike or here through the ticketing registration “Support the movement”.

@blackpeoplewhohike was created to inspire people of color to step out of their comfort zones and get active outside! We meet every Sunday morning at a different location in the St. Louis area. Current Sunday Funday activities have included hiking, rock climbing and kayaking. Future Sunday Funday actives include bicycling, skiing and zip lining.
