About the Event

On September 21, 2023, the Liberated Arts Movement was officially incorporated as a nonprofit organization. To celebrate our first year, we have an extended weekend full of in person and virtual programming.

THURSDAY, September 19th – Partner Spotlight

We’re supporting our partner, Forest Park Public Library: 7555 W. Jackson Blvd, in encouraging all our community members to donate canned goods to their mini food pantry in front of the building.

FRIDAY, September 20th – Artist Talk

Join Liberated’s Founder and CEO, Tara Levy, at the Silverroom: 1506 E. 53rd, for the Melanated in America’s Artist Talk from 6-8pm.

SATURDAY, September 21st – Liberated at the Lake

Liberated at the Lake will be held at Oakwood Beach: 4100 S. DuSable and will begin at 5pm with a group walk and conclude with a meditation and Flo session.

SUNDAY, September 22nd – A Day of Reflection and Celebration

Flood our social media by sharing your love and light! We are requesting our community to share videos or testimonials on their experience with the Liberated Arts Movement by sending their notes or videos to Tara at [email protected] by Tuesday, September 17th.

In additional, we are accepting donations in honor of our first year.
