International Women’s Day hosted by Glen Ellyn Area Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.!
Our theme, “Accelerate Action” is a call to acknowledge the strategies, resources and activities that positively impact women’s advancement, and to support and elevate their implementation. It’s a day of collective global activism and celebration that belongs to all those committed to forging women’s equality.
Along with supporting female entrepreneurs through economic empowerment we will also have dynamic speakers who will bring forth important information and a call to action.
One of the biggest ways to help accelerate action for women’s equality is to support women and the critical work they do to assist women and girls. To show solidarity in the many causes we undertake, we are asking attendees to bring sanitary napkins for teenagers. This is not required for registration or attendance. As we continue our period poverty initiative, we will be donating the products to middle schools and high schools in our service area.
