About the Event

On Saturday, November 9, 2024, the Chicago Urban League will host its 63rd Annual Golden Fellowship Dinner (GFD) at the McCormick Place, Skyline Ballroom.

Our signature gala raises funds that are critically needed to support our service to thousands of Chicagoland residents each year and to continue to advance our mission of achieving equity for Black families and communities through social and economic empowerment. Last year, GFD brought together nearly 2,000 of Chicago’s business, civic, and community leaders to both celebrate our accelerated progress and support the work ahead with all hands on deck.

This year’s gala theme, Standing on Business in the Fight for Equity, challenges all of us to be committed and take responsibility in creating a greater Chicago for all to live and thrive. Each year, GFD is a highlight of the gala season in Chicago, and this year will be filled with inspiration and high energy for the 63rd Annual Golden Fellowship Dinner. It’s sure to be a memorable night for all! We will honor longtime nonprofit executive and community leaders like Dr. Carol L. Adams and Chicago State University President Zaldwaynaka “Z” Scott.

Book your hotel room reservations here.

This special night is hosted by Damon Williams and Samantha Chatman.

Performance by  Grammy Award winner and Golden Globe nominated actress and singer Fantasia.

She is set to take the stage as the evening’s performer with an energetic set filled with her chart-topping hits.
