SOULFUL. SENSUAL. POWERFUL. EARTHY.
These are just some of the words used to describe the sound of international recording artist, Andrea Love. Influenced by her Gospel roots, with Jazz and Soul/R&B overtones, she is undeniably a musical force to be reckoned with, crossing genres effortlessly. You name it, she can sing it.
She has worked with some of music’s most prolific producers and artists including George Duke, Michael Manson, Terri Lyne Carrington, Chante Moore, Ledisi, Terisa Griffin, Lizz Wright, Nona Hendryx, Lalah Hathaway, Rahsaan Patterson, Angela Winbush, Al Jarreau, Marc “M-Doc” Williams, Eric “E Smoove” Miller, Maurice Joshua, Ralphi Rosario, Oleta Adams, Frank McComb, Darius Brooks, and Esperanza Spalding.
In 2001 Andrea began working on the House and Dance music scene with Grammy-nominated remix producer Eric “E Smoove” Miller, and their meeting resulted in a funky inspirational House song entitled “Shined On Me” (Praise Cats f/ Andrea Love – Subliminal Records), which has been her biggest international hit to date, landing her on stages in Europe along with artists such as Shakira and Michelle Branch among others.
Andrea has an ever-growing catalog of music she has written and recorded with some of today’s most notable European DJs and music producers, and will begin working on new multi-genre music projects and EPs in the near future.
On music and her career, Andrea says, “My love affair with music is something that’s hard to put into words. There’s this high that I get when I sing, whether I’m on stage dressed up or standing barefoot in my living room. Now more than ever, I just want to continue walking in what I know I was truly meant to do before anything else – use my voice to deliver life’s music.”
