Rachelle for H.R. 40

Rachelle for H.R. 40 is an ethnically diverse family of people standing in solidarity with the anti-racist community in demanding that the U.S. 117th Congress pass H.R. 40: Commission to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African Americans Act.

We are dedicated to informing people, through truth-telling, about the link between slavery and all the racist policies, institutions and laws that exist up to our present time that have intentionally prevented generations of African Americans from fully realizing the promise of the “American Dream.”

“There are countless people who have worked tirelessly for decades and who continue to do so today to pass H.R. 40. In solidarity with them and with all African Americans who, for over 400 years, have been denied racial equality and economic equity, I am committing to a hunger strike to raise awareness, calling for, demanding that the United States 117th Congress pass H.R. 40: Commission to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African Americans Act.”
