About the Event

To commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the Selma to Montgomery March, which led to the passing of the Voting Rights Act for African Americans, join the Urban League of Greater Atlanta Young Professionals (ULGA-YP) as we travel with our ULGA affiliate to Selma, Alabama for the day. We will depart at 6:00am from IBEW Building located at 501 Pulliam Street, Atlanta, GA and return at 9:30pm the same evening.

The event includes a bus trip to historic civil rights land marks in Alabama, plus a tour of the Legacy Museum. Once we reach Selma, the group will participate in a march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge. Please plan to arrive early, bring snacks (if you have dietary restrictions), only bring a disposable water bottle with you, & please use the same rules you would abide by if you were going through a TSA line.
