Use Stripe Link During Checkout

Published at 1969-12-31 by Ashton Clark

We recently released a new payment method called Stipe Link. Link saves and auto-fills payment information, so ticket buyers do not need to enter their payment details manually. Ticket Buyers can visit link.com to make changes to their account, view their purchase history, or contact the Link customer support team.

How it works

Customers new to Link can save their payment detail to enable faster checkout in the future. Here is how Link works:
  1. Link automatically detects if a ticket buyer is enrolled by using their email address, phone number, or browser cookie.
  2. Ticket buyer receive a one-time passcode to authenticate their session.
  3. After authentication succeeds, Link loads their payment and they pay with one click.
  4. After a customer enrolls with Link, they can add backup payment methods.

Choose to Pass Credit Card Processing Fees on to Ticket Buyers or Absorb Them

Published at 1969-12-31 by Ashton Clark

Over the last year, we received numerous questions about whether an event organizer can pass the Stripe payment processing fee on to the ticket buyer. We have good news! Event organizers can now absorb the Stripe payment processing fee or pass it on to the ticket buyer. Passing the Stripe payment processing fee on to the ticket buyer enables the event organizer to net the face value of the ticket. To access this new feature, visit the create/edit event page and scroll down to the "Who covers the Stripe credit card fee" section at the bottom. From here, you can select:

  • Event organizer absorbs credit card fee
  • Ticket Buyer pays credit card fee

New Resend Order Confirmation Email (Tickets) Feature

Published at 1969-12-31 by Ashton Clark

We released a new feature that enables ticket buyers to resend their order confirmation email (tickets) from the event page. This capability makes it easier for ticket buyers to check-in to events if they need quick access to their order confirmation email. To resend the order confirmation email, visit the event page and look for the "Order Confirmation" section on the lower right hand side of the page (see screenshot below). Click on the "Resend Ticket(s)/Order Confirmation Email" link.     You will then be asked to enter your email address. Once you enter your email address, click the "Resend Order" confirmation link (see screenshot below). Order confirmation emails will only be sent to the ticket buyer on record for the event.
